How Angel Wings Started

In 2010 my husband and I decided to do foster care once again. We had been foster parents before but after the loss of a kiddo it was too difficult to continue. Once we started taking foster kids again it was sad how children were coming with little to nothing.

I started collecting clothing and working out of my laundry room helping just my county of Audrain. Then I began getting calls from other counties. The donations kept coming and I was running out of space quickly. A church offered their basement for the next year. In that year we stated working with five different counties.

As we continued to grow we found a location on the town square. In that time we had been working with 19 different counties. We also had kids coming from Illinois. Others states have called to ask how to implement this into their state.

We needed to relocate again and Casey’s General Store donated a building and land so that we could continue our efforts to serve foster children. Now we have our permanent home.

We have been able to get our 501c3 status as a non-profit as well.
